Change gears between 1500 and 1800 rpm...depending on road speed. If you match road speed with engine revs you will feel the gear lever get sucked out of your hand and slide easily into the next. But nice try for a first time...ps be gentle on the gear its not like driving a car
He should of taught you about the clutch brake when putting it into gear form a stand still.
